A few shots from our weekend. We raked leaves (yes, in the woods raking leaves is a year-round event), planted stuff, marveled over blooming things, watched Gabey play and mimic us and roll around in the mud. Yes, roll around in the mud. He took a lot of pleasure in lugging around a half-filled watering can, and then dumping it in some dirt, and then LAYING DOWN in it. I unfortunately do not have pictures of this, but let's just say that the next day we ventured to Walmart to buy some cheap "play-clothes" in dark colors...
The ride-on toys were released from winter storage...
Mickey is also enjoying the weather...
The view in early March...not long before this will be GREEN and alive!
Other exciting events of this week...Gabey and I hit the park with his cousin Maddie (and her mom Stephanie) not once, but twice. These two haven't really spent much time together since crossing the line from baby to toddler, so it was awesome to see them conversing, laughing, saying each other's names, hugging, and just in general enjoying themselves. I also made a vow to restart daily exercise as of this Monday and so each morning around 10am Gabey and I (and Mickey) have set out. Definitely going to have to work back up to the running but it feels so good to get outside and have that be a part of the day again. We've had daily outdoor playtime and even some afternoon walks with Daddy and Morgan.
Who's Morgan, you ask? She's the new nanny:) Now that Cee Cee has moved on to her ER rotation in Wellsboro, PA, her classmate Morgan has taken her spot for the next 5 weeks. We've already inducted her into Life at Casa Horvath by subjecting her to our favorite TV shows, regulating her to her own chair and depending on her babysitting services. Its going very well and we are definitely enjoying her!
