At the suggestion of my friend Domenica, Gabe and I decided to pull a switcheroo in our house. We switched out our dining room and the "area off the kitchen" which for the last 2 years housed a pack-n-play, and then a train table. The train table was moved to a more inconspicous spot in our living room, the dining room table was moved into the "area off the kitchen", new furniture was purchased for an outrageously low price at Boscovs, and VOILA, we now have a new sitting area in what used to be the dining room!!
Still needs a few finishing touches, such as a rug for under the kitchen table, and some changing of light fixtures, but so far we LOVE it. Its always been one of my favorite rooms in the house...looks out over the view, a very pretty, sunny yellow, and in the bright daylight its just beautiful. It sort of pulls together the living room and kitchen into one big area, and extends the "hanging out" space for when we have parties or people over. Love it!
